when does the exception become the norm?
I've just had a 4th complete wipeout of all my NTL services within 2 months.TV,broadband and phone all went down at once..It's becoming too common. At what point can a customer say legitimatly that enough is enough? In other words how many times does one report such issues to and to whom?
Do I contact(on my mobile) each and every one of the lines set up for each service? Is there an overall phone number that will just tell me there's a fault in my area and can I use it on my mobile phone when my landline ISN'T working?Whom do I actually inform that I've lost more than one service? I ask the last question because each of the individual sections responsible for each area doesn't want to know about any other area and just wants to go through their own little checking ritual according to some script. How do I flag that I have this overall repeat problem?Especially when the only point of contact on a mobile is an 0845 number which gets expensive. |
Re: when does the exception become the norm?
Hi Incognitas,
I lost TV and Broadband today. It's happened once before this month but they do have their work cut out round this area.So all in all it's not too bad at all. If you lose the lot just go for Dig TV first. Usually if it's a widespread fault it will tell you that and the area's affected. If they go down together they normally come back on together. So I only check about one.If there is a message already I just end the call and let them get on with it.The last twice everything has been restored a couple of hours later. Regards George. |
Re: when does the exception become the norm?
I'd just like one central number that tells you whether there is an overall fault in your area and gives you a chance to report it.After all if we don't tell faults we have a problem then they won't know it needs sorting. Also if your landline is down 150 is useless on a mobile.
My way around the problem today was not to bother pressing any numbers but to wait until I was passed onto a human interface by default who, though surprised that I'd got through to him, was able to just tell me what I wanted to know about it being an area fault and a rough idea when it would all be up and running. |
