Pop-up and Javascript browser test

http://www.proxomitron.info/tests/index.html

A few tests to see how well secured your browser, and security set-up is.

Firefox 2.0 with noscript and adblockplus passed with flying colours.

IE 6 fails miserably ;)

So did Opera 9.03. What amazed me is IE7 failed every test!

I didn't try the off site tests.

O, though I have only used Opera for a few hours just to be nosey, I though it may fare better.

An interesting one is the Inet Police test, this is the info that all websites receive from your pc when you visit them, and can be recorded in logs.

If you are an ntl users, it will show your real IP address is the 'HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR' part, as ntl always forwards your IP address, you proxy server is shown in these sections: REMOTE_HOST ; REMOTE_ADDR

For me, IE 7 blocked the first two. The second two generated blank pop-ups (don't know if that counts as a pass or fail!).

In Browser Spy (http://gemal.dk/browserspy/) under Proxy Information, it says "No proxy information detected". I thought NTL uses proxies?

Must be a bad test, try this one instead:

Not everywhere, I'm not on a proxy...

Click on 'Connection' at the top of the page to check...

Just tried it, and I'm on a proxy so think the test is bad, gave the same message "No proxy information detected".
