Re: WIRELESS HELP

To get wireless connection you need a wireless router which will wirelessly route the connection. What make/model router do you have? It might already have a wireless feature.

Re: WIRELESS HELP

You can just get a Wireless Access Point instead of a new router.

Well, if you've already got the router, you can stick an access point on the wired network so you can use wired as well as wireless.

It saves buying a whole router. An example would be one of these

The price difference between an AP and a wireless router is the same. I would rather go for a new wireless router.

Edit> Sorry AntiSilence - a minute late with my post...dammmn

LOL

I'd rather stick with my wired network since I had wireless and my game pings went up to over 100.

That link is for a HP lappy.

Re: Wireless help

My HP laptop has an Intel WirelessG card (same vintage as yours), so any wireless access point should be sufficient, such as the WAP54G.
Don't forget, if you get a WAP54G you will have two devices plugged in doing the job that one could do.If you want just one, then a Linksys WRT54G would do the job.

Don't you mean yours? And yes it will need to be reconfigured as you won't be using the wired router so flog it on eBay.

Re: Wireless help

Your wireless router will most likely come with 4 wired ports as well (the linksys WRT54G does), so hooking up the ps2 should be a matter of simply plugging in the existing cable for the ps2. The lappy will require configuring for wireless access.
