Probs with STB

Hi all

Hoping someone with a bit more knowledge than me might be able to shed some light on an issue I seem to be having with my STB. It's a PACE (but not sure which model - I think its the 4000 or 4010).

Our area (Kensington & Chelsea) has recently been upgraded - I still can't get VOD (apart from the previous offering of FrontRow), but the menu's have been updated and the channels reshuffled.

Since the menu update the STB regularly sorta slows down and pressing buttons on the remote does nothing and then I get a message saying "Your set top box is experiencing issues. Press fix and the STB will reboot" or something to that effect.

Pressing fix usually sorts out the problem, but often the menu scroll is sluggish and having to "reboot" (or whatever it does) is a right pain in the proverbial.

I haven't bothered calling NTL yet - mostly because I haven't had the time to commit to a long wait. However, it's starting to irritate me so I'll probably call if it continues. I don't suppose anyone on here has a view as to what the problem could be?

I've only spoken to NTL customer services a few times with fairly little success. They still can't provide broadband or a phone service to my house (Cable TV only), despite absolutely promising me when I signed up that it would be available within a few months. That was 9 months ago! LOL Silly really, coz I'm paying for a non-existent phone service and I have ADSL with Virgin whereas if NTL could provide both, I'd transfer it all across.....

Anyways, any contributions would be appreciated as always...
