Going on holiday
if i go on holiday then is it possible to put my account on standby for about 3 months?
i dont wanna have to get a new home phone number as it will be too much hassle letting everyone know not to mention everything business wise,(imagine moving house and updating everyone on your new address) |
Re: Going on holiday
If you have had over 12 months contract service, you can give notice and cancel services. If you want your phone number retained, hold onto that but cancel the rest. When you return, ask for TV and boradband assuming you have those to be reinstalled - chances are ntl won't have collected the STB or modem, so they would just need reactivation.
Of course if that is a lot of hassle, or you have less than 12 months gone, you are entitled to make changes to your packages, Ask ntl to put the boradband and TV onto the most basic packages -slowest speed - minimal TV channels with no sky movies/ sports. When you return, one call and you can upgrade again. At least you'd save something. |
Re: Going on holiday
how do you retain your phone number?
i have been with ntl for almost 10 years now |

Are you going somewhere nice? 3 months ???

Re: Going on holiday
You can only retain the phone number by not cancelling the phone line. So you'll have to pay line rental on that, but you can get rid of everything else.
