Ebuyer

Just had a row with Ebuyer regarding my order!
It was meant to be delivered by friday 13th, but apparently that failed because somebody refused the order claiming i don't live there nomore!
called city link on saturday, they said i shud get it on monday.
called ebuyer on monday, was told i'd get it on tuesday.
tuesday, nth. called ebuyer. scheduled for wednesday.
wednesday...same s**t!!!

now they said its coming tomorow. and city link said that they don't have records of it being scheduled for yesterday or monday!!!

Ebuyer won't cancel the order coz the goods are not with them. neither will they refund me the delivery cost-for that i have to go thru complaints dpt.
am nt sure wats the best step, as i want to kick them real hard!!!

am fuming. any1 got any suggestion??

Re: Ebuyer

From my experience Ebuyer always send a tracker number for City Link so you should be able to see when its going to be delivered.

If youre not there when its delivered its not Ebuyers or City Links fault. You could always go to the City Link depot and pick it up.

I had one issue with Ebuyer when I paid extra for next day delivery. It then took nearly a week to get to me and they initially refused to refund me the extra I paid for delivery. After a lot of e-mails etc they eventually relented and refunded the money

Re: Ebuyer

There has always been someone around my house. and unless they knocked realy faintly on the door and did not use the doorbell i can't c how we missed the courier service.
They claim that someone refused the parcel and said i do not live there no more. which is not true!!
my items have each got a diffrent tracker number. for my mouse the last update is for friday.
and for my keyboard the last update is for monday saying that the order was sent back to holding branch.
so they obviusly did not folo the orders to have the item delivered on monday, tuesday or wednesday.
it doesn't make any sense and i can't c how am to b blamed for them going at some next address. until i updated my account, they had my home number, which they could have called. bt they didn't.
they now have my mobile number, so there's no excuse not to reach me.
I have bought from ebuyer before and thought highly of them. Am wondering if am right now...

The delivery cost me £5.09. That will not cover the hassle they caused me, including the numerous phone calls.
Its not a question of money right now, its a question of ethics. n i want them to compensate me in a more rewarding way.
how do u sugest i go along doing this?? and what can i realistically expect???

Re: Ebuyer

I tried to do that as I took the time off work for the next day delivery. You see, I'm one of these weird people who work for a living and therefore I'm not in the house between 9am-5pm when they deliver, so have to arrange deliveries for days I can get off. Mentioned this to them and they were not too interested.

Am afraid some people have to work for a living. And sometimes they do tend to take days off from work. Thats how there's sometimes someone at home.
Am well in a mood to kik their a**.
I will think of a good strategy and contact there complaints dpt.In case they decide they want to mess around, i am ready to take the hassle to contact my local trading standards bureau.

I appreciate your frustration, but I think Trading Standards would be the wrong people to contact. You need the CAB if you want some advice.
Hope this helps

Re: Ebuyer

thanks pop80. if thats wat it takes then i will do it.
Am frustrated not because my item is late but because i had to ring time n time again. Id rather they be straight with me from the start. That save me time n money.

I've never had any problems with eBuyer either. Plenty with CityLink though, including a very expensive car stereo that arrived at their local branch and then promptly disappeared off the face of the earth according to their tracking. It took them ages to admit that they'd 'lost' it (or one of their employees had taken a fancy to it) too. I work from home so I'm always around but I've also had problems with them claiming that there was no answer as well. I never use them now if I can possibly avoid it.

city-link can be quite useless sometimes, when i brought bits for my presant rig i paid for a sat delivery, received tracker numbers from the sellers and waited. saturday came and was up early because the last 2 times they've been they have been there just after 8am. come 11.30ish nobody had called (got really hashed off cos had cancelled my o/t at work to stay home), so checked the tracker and it claimed that they had tried to deliver at 8am and that they had left a card to say so - complete balls. the best part is trying to contact them.......no chance. had to wait till monday morning, was told by them that the driver couldn't find the estate, not a very good excuse as they've been here numerous times before no probs......so after a heavy rant at them the stuff was with me by 10am that morning, which was the same date for delivery as if i hadn't paid extrs for the saturday..........bunch of :dmonk: at times.......

I always get stuff delivered to work instead of home now... fortunately I've not had any problems with delivery from citi link - although the courier that Pixmania used for my DVD player was shi*e, and it went from France, to Germany, to the Netherlands via Belgium before turning up eventually in the UK. Not used Pixmania since then.

Just had a problem with City Link today myself, they decided to deliver to the entirely wrong address without even trying mine... They delivered it 2 doors down... Lcukily we know the people, otherwise, knowing the people round here it would have been flogged on ebay or something... Grrr.
