NTL Box Error
 

what does an M043 error mean when your stb is displaying "tune" and you hold down while booting (yes i read the "Useful STB Info" Thread) my stb is a pace 4001b fyi. The picure disappeared on every channel at around 12:15am while watching QI on UKTV2 +1 and after a hard reset it started displaying "TUNE" and staying there for god-knows how long and it has carried on doing this and is still doing it now as i'm writing this.

Usually if it is stuck on tune it means i'm dead i'm afraid...

If it is not working in the morning then sounds like a call to faults is in order

Hi thanks. Good news. Its working this morning. The thing is I've had the box for about a month and it has been acting very strange.
Like one time when the programe reminder came up, I press on the comfurm and when it went to the channal it went black. So I did a Hard reset and the all the lights came on and it said 8888. So I looked on here while it was off and according to one of the threads it was no its way out. After about 3 or so hours of being off it worked again.
Then there was last night. My fiancee said that when he put the cable back on while I was a sleep (about 2am) It worked again.
Is this normal and what should I do?

seeing as you said it said to you 8888 on display i'd call ntl soon as it might be a memory issue? and could happen again quite soon try page up page down & blue key on remote see if any errors logged in final page [4?]
