Hello,

When you say webspace server I take it you mean upload.ntlworld.com?

Just tried mine and it worked 1st time.

How are you connecting (what software)?
What error message do you get?

yep that's right. i'm using smartftp, and the default port is 21.

this is my log

Open up a command prompt, then type:
- ftp upload.ntlworld.com
(then, when prompted)
- user xxxxx
- pass xxxx

Can you log in this way? If yes, the issue is with your ftp client or its settings.

If your using Firefox you could always try http://fireftp.mozdev.org/ as an alternative.

But it does ask for your username though? Maybe an issue with your username or account. If thats the case, I've just sent you a pm.

Are you connected to ntl at the moment? Webspace server only accepts connections from ntl IP addresses.

Are you using wireless? (saw a problem a while back where someone could not send mail through the ntl SMTP server and it turned out they were on wireless and had somehow slipped onto a neighbouring unsecured network so it is something worth checking)

If you open a command prompt and enter the following command, what message do you get back?

telnet upload.ntlworld.com 21
