Cannot Access Folders
I've had to reinstall windows. Prior to doing this i copied a number of folders to my D: drive.
Now ive reinstalled windows on my C: drive when i try to access the folders on the D: drive i get an access denied pop up. Any clues as to how i resolve this? ---------- Post added at 20:53 ---------- Previous post was at 20:46 ---------- Its Ok sorted it now ---------- Post added at 20:56 ---------- Previous post was at 20:53 ---------- This problem occurs when you try to access a folder created on a drive using the NTFS file system using a previous installation of Windows. Even if you use the same login name and password under the new installation, the internally generated security ID is not the same, so Windows will not allow you access to the folder. You must take ownership of the folder by carrying out the following steps.

Yes, it's to do with NTFS file encryption.
