The different brands/models

Hi everyone,

I live in Holland and I haven't got much to do with NTL but I was just wondering which different brands/models are used by this provider. I am trying to find as many specs possible (this is an assignment I have to do for my study) and try to come up with problem solutions... any help would be sooo apreciated!!!!

I am aware that it's mostly Samsung and Pace (just need their modelnumbers!!!) I also need the brands used for telewest

Re: The different brands/models

There are, rather confusingly, three digital cable networks in the UK, which are now all owned by NTL. They are known internally as Langley, Bromley and Knowsley, after the towns which house their playout centres. The set-top boxes I know of are:

Bromley (CWC until 2000)

Pace DiTV 1000, 1000b, 2000, 4000
Samsung 2100, 2110

Knowsley (Telewest until 2006)

Pace DiTV 1000, 1010 (identical to the 1000b), 2000, 4000
Scientific Atlanta 4000, 4200
Scientific Atlanta 8300 (HDTV and PVR box)

Langley ("Original" NTL)

Pace 4001 -- five or six different revisions, some of which are very different internally
Pace 4010 (internally identical to the 4000 used in Bromley/Telewest areas)
Samsung 2100 and 2110
