Router installing problems

Hay all

This is my first post :) I have just had NTL (UK) BBand installed, never having had it before. the Router I had for my old network was a DSL-G624T wireless ADSL Router and I believe that I can't use this with NTL, or can I  Im not a Bill Gates when it comes to computers, which means in plain English I Know very little about computers. I found the old Router very easy to set up, so I Clicked straght on to Ebay bid and won a new Cheep Router :drunk: A "hardly used wireless BBand Router" it is a Linksys WRK54G, after reading some post on this forum the WRK54G get a poor write up  why is this? Is it because it is a nightmare to set up? or is it just me trying to set it up? can anyone help me set it up? I've tryed everything to set it up but im just not that good :banghead:

Re: Router installing problems

I use a WRT4G without any problems (the WRK54G is a cut down version).

At the risk of stating the obvious, have you tried forcing a factory reset using the reset button on the router?

It should just be a case of plug'n'play after that. Although i'd recommend using the webinterface (just type 192.168.1.1 into your web browser) rather than the software on the CD.

Actually I believe the "save" function has been around for many years.
