Second set top box

Hey guys, we just had NTL installed (BB and TV) and I was wondering if I can get a second box installed in my room (no aerial) and how much it cost? Also would the NTL box work with a PC TV card? Thanks.

Yes, you can have a second box in your room :) Just give them a bell and they'll sort it out. I think its about £15 per month.

The NTL box will work with a pc card by using the RF ariel feed from the box to the pc card :)

I have a second box plugged into a TV card. (well the TV side of an ATI 'All in Wonder' graphics card, to be accurate). :)

As jellybaby says it is £15 per month for the box, but I'm not sure if you will have to pay an installation fee?

Depending on which TV card you have, it may also work with a scart to composite/svhs/stereo converter.

My stb scart connects to a DVD/VHS combo & then to the TV card with svhs/composite & stereo leads. I watch DVD on the svhs connection, VHS & digital TV on the composite connection & if I connect the RF output of the stb, as well, allows watching 'terrestrial' TV, via an aerial, or bypass.

£15? Seems a bit steep - we got a student deal where we get BB+TV for £20 a month... So for an extra £5 I could get a BB line in my room....

probably is a bit steep on a select or base pack contract - but for someone paying for family pack, movies & sport, for example, it is a little bit more 'worth it'.

In your case, i agree the £20 option would be better value :)
