Hi all i normally use ntlworld news groups and wondering if anyone else is Having trouble with them at the moment as i cant seem to connect since monday night :( been fine so far )

They went off for me about 3 hrs ago but they are back on now

These are the server addresses I know of,

news.ntlworld.com
news.cable.ntlworld.com
newscache.cable.ntlworld.com
news.cache.ntlworld.com
news.cache.cable.ntlworld.com
text.news.ntlworld.com (No binaries obviously)

Try them all and see how you go, remember NTL also allow access to -

news.tesco.net

and

news.virgin.net

sometimes these work better than ntl's own.
if i`m not allowed to post these admin plz delete
news.tesco.net is working for me at the moment but the others arn't

Swansea area has been flakey for the last couple of days after being rock solid for many months.
If you're a serious newsgroup user try a premium provider like Easynews. www.easynews.com
$10 a month for 20 Gigs (about £5.30 at current exchange rates). One advantage of Easynews is their Web based newsgroup search engine, worth $10 a month just for that IMHO.
