Expect more tripe on the tv then. :( Then again if they we're to launch itv1 +1 then it would at least come in handy for the F1 racing. ;)

Wonder why the main channels BBC1,2,ITV and CH4 haven't +1'd. Maybe not wanting to split audiences? Or is it a programme rights thing?

Maybe becuase the other channels can see it for what it really is - just an excuse to clog up the radio spectrum/cable network capacity/satillite network capacity with useless stuff - and while on the subject of useless stuff and itv - itvplay; need I say more?

It certainly has someting to do with rights. For example, for sports which are shown live on BBC or ITV they only have the rights to the live game and somebody else has the rights to show the delayed match. Therefore, they would not be able to put this on a +1 channel.

That would make sense - I was going to mention this earlier but got a bit carried away ranting about how pointless I believe +1 channels normally are (as you've probably guessed I'm not a huge tv fan!). ;)

Only on Sky I'd imagine.

Will these channels be available on freeview?

They're saying on the ITV website Sky only at present, although no doubt it will filter through to NTL and FreeView eventually.

There's no capacity on Freeview for them at the moment. Perhaps once the compression technology is tweaked again, they might arrive then.

Yay, don't you just love the washed-out, pixellated, digital 'revolution'. :dozey: Give me a quality analogue signal any day ... :D
