Nero, you can use it create a video dvd
http://www.nero.com/nero7/eng/nero7-demo.php
Think the tool you need to run is Nero Express but I would have to check that at home later to be sure

Download a trial of the new version because I think 5.5 cannot do it or may need a minor version upgrade.

win avi converter will convert avi to dvd amongst other things, twice as fast as nero, nothing fancy and adds chapters.

if I can remember the site I'll post a link :)

win avi is good for speed but it has its faults,e.g out of sync and ur best leaving ur pc alone while ur using winavi and before ppl say its down to pc spec it aint :D... i stick with nero 6,nero 7 also has some issues so in my eyes 6 is best but theres loads of different progs out there

Try ConvertXtoDVD http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/

It's very simple to use.
