NTL Webspace index.htm?
I have recently decided to update my homepage website on NTL.
I noticed that if i use the url http://homepage.ntlworld.com/username the old index.htm is displayed. However if i add index.htm to the url the new one is displayed Where is the old one coming from ? and what is the sub directory derived for ? Thanks for any help Harry Hainsworth  |
Re: NTL Webspace index.htm?
Your probably seeing a page that's been cached(stored) by a NTL proxy server, try pressing ctrl+f5 while your displaying the old page, this should force a cache refresh and display the new page.
If this does not work it could be your end, try deleting your temporary internet files. |
Re: NTL Webspace index.htm?
I thought it was ALTGR + F5 for a server refresh?

Re: NTL Webspace index.htm?
that may work, but the advice given on here and other web related forums has always been ctrl+f5 :)

Re: NTL Webspace index.htm?
I think the default ntl page is called index.html and that will be picked up before your index.htm, so was your old page called index.html, this has confused me before now on some servers.
Either delete index.html, or rename your page so it is index.html and upload over the top. |
