anyone having trouble with eBay login?
Is there any way my broadband connection with NTL could be affecting my login with eBay? It's the only website I'm having trouble with. I've been in contact with eBays support but everything they have suggested hasn't made a blind bit of difference. The problem I'm having is logging in to 'My eBay'. I type my ID and password and then nothing happens until it times out. Is there any way I can change my IP address? Maybe that would change things, the reason I ask that is that my girlfriend is also having the same trouble with logging in to eBay from her Laptop which is wirelessly connected through a WGR614 Netgear Router.
any ideas anyone? p |

Weird try a proxy, but may be the account has been hacked, not trying to alarm you but if you can get into other sites no problem it needs looking at.

Is a goldmine on how to do stuff like that amongst other things... |
Re: anyone having trouble with eBay login?
I've had the same problem with e-bay on and off this week, changed to a non-ntl proxy and it fixed it.
Now i've alway been "pro-proxy" as it reduced the amount NTL spend on exeternal network bandwidth, however, if they can't configure these things correctly they need turning off. |
Re: anyone having trouble with eBay login?
The proxies are a great idea if they work properly, unfortunately they don't for a great number of areas, but you'll never get anyone from NTL to admit it :(

Re: anyone having trouble with eBay login?
I use a non-ntl proxy because the address of it is easily memorable to me, and most of all there aren't many people know about it so it is reliable and fast.
I won't makes it's address public as it's only supposed to be for a certain organisation to which I provide technical support to. |
