Connection
 

Ok - not exactly relevant to this forum, but have posted here before and had great replies, so.....

Have just invested in a Sony RDRHX510 DVD recorder, have connected it all up and it works fine (well sort of)....

My system consists of:

NTL Analogue
Phillips Widescreen TV
Sony DVD Recorder
Panasonic Video

I've connected as follows:

NTL Analogue > DVD Recorder [aerial]
DVD Recorder > TV [aerial]
DVD Recorder > TV [SCART RGB] [view via Ext 1]
Video > TV [Scart] [view via Ext 2]
Video > DVD Recorder [scart]

As u see i've used the Scart connections (RGB where possible), but not getting a great reception thru the tv- is this the best method? Does scart top other connection methods such as s-video, component etc?

not entirely confident at this, so any help would be much appreciated?

Where does the signal the is degrading originate and which equipment does it go through and in order?
