Battlefield 2 Graphics Problem
I have had BF2 since release and lately on my system Radeon 9550 256mb, AMD 64 3000 with 1GB ram. In some games the screen will start to flash i will loose the hud (no map, ammo display etc) and when screen flashes i get to see through walls and ground beneath me dissapears. its really hard to explain.
this happens til either i quit application or round ends then game is fine for next round/map. Iam running game at 800x600 but desktop is 1294 x 950 something like that. |
Re: Battlefield 2 Graphics Problem
Might sound daft, but do you have Windows messenger running in the background? Ive had similar before when somebody signs in it pops up the signin box and it really fooks up the GFX.

Re: Battlefield 2 Graphics Problem
I'm with TheBlueRaja here...I've had the same problem with MSN and various toolbar apps that distrupt when an event occurs.
I'd recommend closing all toolbar apps before you game, such as MSN, and see if the problem still persists. |
Re: Battlefield 2 Graphics Problem
I have a Radeon X600 and at first i Blamed Skype/MSN etc. When the Screen went as you have said, i quit Game and someone had sent a message via Skype. Later on with Nothing that would ever pop up - the same problem happend - now it *might* have been a Virus checker updating and I missed the Message but not sure. I have a similar problem on COD:UO as it goes, for no reason at all my screen goes much darker, this can be sorted by a quick options/brightness in game. When I had that problem before I used to have a Background changing program and it was in sync (COD:UO problem) with that but now I dont and I still get it the odd time.
Maybe its the ATI Drivers me thinks?? Cos it NEVER happens on my GeForce system thats for sure...hmm |
