ntl broadband, router setup?

Hi I'm recieving a router tomorrow to setup my home network, I heard I have to register the router and change my mac address or something? Any guides or info on exactly how to do this?

M8, what make of router? I've not long set up a wireless network with lots of help from the people on there very forums. My router is a Linksys so have a look at some of my previous posts which may help. ;)
