Internet has gorn orf in Teesside. Makes me realise how slow this site is on dial up. :(

ntl broadband internet customer in the Middlesbrough, Darlington, Hartlepool, Marske, Stockton and Wearside will currently be unable to access the service due to a technical fault. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.


That's a pretty big area! Wonder what kind of fault that could be.

Seems to be working ok now but no update on the status page at the moment. I doubt they'd put "JCB extracted" ;)

Phew! I though it was going to be a weekend without internet :Yikes:

A cable on the NTl national network was damaged on thursday afternoon during roadworks being carried out for the new chiltern by-pass at the junction of the A689/A167 in Durham. Because the damae was not reported and the cable buried Ntl had a team out thursday night looking for the fault but it wasnt found till friday morning and the damage exposed. The damage was so severe it meant replacing a whole section of cable, once the new section was in place the damaged one was then cut about 1730 and the new one jointed on, this took till just after midnight. thats the problem with fibre optics once they get damaged they take a while to get repaired.
