FTP problem
While uploading to my own NTL website has not problems, I am getting an error message while uploading to my daughter's NTL website.
The error window says: An error occurred copying a file to the FTP server, make sure you have permission to put files on this server. Details: 200 Type set to 1, 227 entering passive mode (62,253,162,29,138,200), 150 opening binary mode data correction for filename.jpg I can see the webspace in window explorer and I can delete files on the webspace, but just not uploading. Since I can ftp to other ntl webspace, it looks to be there is an error on ntl server, am I right? and how do I go about fixing it? |
Re: FTP problem
What FTP client are you using, if any?

Re: FTP problem
Just window explorer, but I tried Terripin, same problem.

Re: FTP problem
Have you tried turning "passive" mode off?

Re: FTP problem
How? Never come across this

Re: FTP problem
If you get hold of FileZilla I can talk you through it.

Re: FTP problem

Re: FTP problem
it is
__________________ I managed to trf a jpg file to a folder, but cannot do another one, it seems the folder cannot hold more than 1 file ! __________________ I think there might be a problem with NTL, it work perfectly on my own webspace __________________ More info, it seems the webspace does not like more than one file of the same extension. |
Re: FTP problem
Interesting, I'd get in touch with NTL technical support, it sounds like that webspace has been mis-configured.
