NTL proxy server probs - an update

Ok, an update.

If I set the proxy to the ip of the cardiff server, bingo, i'm on the internet, however my problems are not over.

The proxy ip change only seems to work for web browsing, which is great, but not the whole answer.

I cannot get email to work - i'm using Outlook 2003, plus all my automated things like antivirus/antispam definition updates dont seem to work.

Having had a think about things, i'm turning myself inside out over something that is NTLs problem. Can they not just manually allocate me a different proxy server at their end? the real pain is that tech support is only 8 till 8 which is useless for those of us who are out of the house between those hours.

Thoughts anyone?

Cheers

Martin
