SKY digi cables

We have Sky digital.

Good huh?

The problem is where the TV is currently located, it isnt going to be for much longer. The cable is not long enough to move it to the place where it needs to be, however, as the cable is looped over our roof to the back of the house and then down through our newly built conservatory and through the wall straight into the digi box, is there any way I can lengthen the cable, perhaps with a splitter box or somthing? And where can I get this stuff from? please say maplinsplease say maplins please say maplins :D

Yeah, but I also need to connect it to the existing cable in preferably a straight through mode.

Would the cable be long enough, to pull it back out of the conservatory & the house & drag it around to where it needs to go now?

All you need is a double barrel adapter & a length of cable with plugs on (or 2 if you have sky+).

Your local sattelite shop should be able to provide these.
And yes Maplins too.

I have an easy question for you! Basically I am moving my digibox to the other side of the room and I need to extend the cable. I have already been told by sky that I need CT100 cable, but which connector do I buy?

Ideally you should replace the entire length, using the correct, double-screened coaxial cable. See page 7 of the catalogue.

In practice you will get away with using two 090-3076 Threaded "F" plugs and an 090-3078 Threaded "F" barrel to join two lengths of cable. Not recommended as it introduces a discontinuity that digital signals may not like.

All of the parts and cable mentioned are in the maplins link in my first reply ;)
