Can't access my webspace
Hello
Haven't really been interested in my webspace until now but now when I try to access it I get the message to say the page cannot be found. Yes - I am puting the right address in and a few years ago I was able to get at it but now I cannot. Will lack of use mean it has been disabled or could there be another reason. Thanks Markly Darkly |
Re: Can't access my webspace
Unlikely to have been disabled. Common issues are incorrect password. Assuming you are talking of ntl webspace, make sure you use the original ntl issued password, not anything that you might have changed for your email or other account details.
Might be worth running through the ideas in this article: http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/article.php?a=30 |
Re: Can't access my webspace
Hi - thanks for reply.
No I don't mean accessing to develop a site, jus typing in the address to look at it (I realise it is empty at moment). I am using the only password I have ever had for that account when I try and access using FTP though. |
Re: Can't access my webspace
If you have nothing in your webspace you will get an error that the page cannot be displayed until you upload something to it or upload an index.html page to it.

Re: Can't access my webspace
Hi again - OK did the test by running ftp from the Start menu and it indicated my webspace is actually corrupted.
Just spoke to extremely helpful lady at Tech support who found my webspace address had 'dtn' in it. She has now corrected it and everything is well. So well done tech support |
