ftp uploads using cmd prompt
Hiya all,
Ever since switching to NTL and cable modem I can't upload to my website (non-NTL hosting), I can't seem to open an FTP connection through Windows cmd prompt. Has anyone got any hints or knows of any freeware FTP clients that can connect through NTL?? Cheers! Jon |

What's happening? If it is a connection problem, you may well have the same problem with any FTP client.
If you do want a free, easy to use FTP client, I would recommend Smart FTP or (my own favourite, although it is no longer developed) LeechFTP If you want to use the built-in command line ftp client, there is a good tutorial at http://culearn.creighton.edu/utiliti...ommandline.htm |
Re: ftp uploads using cmd prompt
Any errors? Firewalls (router or XP) in the way? XP's ftp client is basic but should work. I've used it to upload to NTL's webpages.
There was a thread about FTP clients a while ago - a search in the Computers & IT forum should find it. Iirc filezilla is a popular freebie. |

I'll give those clients a try, ta.
