OSX - recommendation for router
 

Hi

Can anyone recommend a broadband router which can manage wireless/ wired, sort out Mac cloning (need to find out about this), and deal with L2TP - which will work with OS X? I'm looking at a D-Link DI-824VUP which seems to fit the bill, but I'm not sure. Any input would be appreciated!

I use a Linksys WRT54G and two of my pc's are running Tiger...
allows mac cloning, and also supports VPN passthrough :)

I use a Linksys WRT54G Ver 2.2 which is running both wireless and wired connections and deffo no complaints about it.

I use a Linksys WRT54G and it works very nicely with my Powerbook running Panther.

The protocols used to enable communication between wireless routers and wireless network cards are defined international standards. Therefore, any routers should work with the Airport (equivalent to a 802.11b network card) and Airport express (equivalent to an 802.11g network card) cards.


One thing I found though, When I was first using Wireless security, I used WEP (as that was all Windows could use) and could never get it working on the Mac.

As soon as I could, I switched to WPA, and that works brilliantly on both.

That's me sorted out, Linksys it is! Thanks to all of you for your help and advice.
