telewest to collect BT mail
 

Just had TW installed but cannot get outlook to collect from my old BT account. Mail sends out using the same settings as when dialling up previously but will not collect. TW and BT both suggest talking to the other.....:Yikes:

Connection setup issue? Check in your outlook that you don't have a setting wanting the account to dial up a connection, and allow it to use your broadband.

Outlook full (which version) or Outlook Express?

Thanks but No, the connection is OK on Use LAN tick, mail sends out fine but will not be collected...Outlook 2000

Is there a web-mail that you can your emails from? Does that work?

Any authentication needed to the BT server, you have exactly the right format of server, account and passwords?

sorry everyone. I hadnt ticked the include this account box..it all works fine now. I think you have to dial up every so often to keep the bt account active .I can now send and receive on both
