Cancelled TV - Need Advice
 

I've cancelled my TV Service.

I called and said they could not send anyone out to collect the box until 9th August.

Which is fine with me.

But in the beginning of August i've got workmen coming out to do work.

I asked if i could disconnect the box and hand it over to the guy at the door, and he said no the Ntl guy will do that.

But in August i will hardly be in, and the living room in which the box is in will be all cleared out, and i don't want to leave the ntl box connected, and was hoping i could leave the box all wrapped up ready to be handed over.

Is there any reason why i can't do this?

No, that should be fine. Just unplug the power and SCART leads, carefully unscrew the coaxial cable from the back of the box, and unplug the RF cable if it's connected. Make sure the smart card is in the slot, and put it back in the cardboard box if you've still got it.
