Re: Emails

Can you put the whole failure message in here, there should be more information than just the error code.

Re: Emails

Error: "Your email message was unable to be sent because your mail server rejected the message." (1003,11) or (1003,12)

Situation:
After installing Norton AntiVirus (NAV), when you send email, you see the error message "Your email message was unable to be sent because your mail server rejected the message."

In the lower-left corner of the error display alert, you see one of the following sets of numbers:
1003,11
1003,12

Solution:
Why this error occurs
This error can occur when the email that you are sending does not meet one or more of the requirements set by your Internet service provider (ISP) for sending email. The following are some of the more common causes for your ISP to reject an email message:

Your email client failed authentication.
Your email message contains invalid characters.
Your email exceeds the file size limit set by your ISP.
Your email was classed as SPAM by your ISP or by your recipients ISP.

What to do
Contact your ISP for help fixing the problem. If your ISP indicates that there is no problem, then follow the steps in the document Disabling outgoing email scanning in Norton AntiVirus to disable outgoing email scanning.

Corporate Customers
If you are experiencing this error while using a corporate product such as Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition, please read the document Error: "Your email message was unable to be sent because your mail server rejected the message." (1003,11) or (1003,12) for additional suggestions.

Re: Emails

I don't suppose you've changed your "reply to" email address in your email client?

Re: Emails

Error 452 is sometimes given back from the ntl e-mail platform for two reasons

You're sending spam...infected PC acting as a bot....update your AV and scan
Your sending a virus....again update and scan

Last but rare is you've got an IP previouisly used by a infected PC and the IP been added to a blacklist and now you have the IP

Do the scan for AV and spyware and then test again....then look up your IP to see if your IP is on a list

Hope this helps

Oops....sorry Mate

Do a google search for Sophos or just blacklists....the thing with them is there loads and you may be on an obscure list.

call ntl and ask them to mail you the blacklist supermail...this will have loads of information to help you

Re: Emails

Hi Again,

My ip is not blocked and also i have scaned with norton and im clean so I have no idea on what to do next...........

Re: Emails

Hi

As i said..there are hundreds of blacklists so you may not find it.

call teck support...tell them your getting error 452 and you've scanned your PC and its clean...they should then escalate this to a 3rd level to check

Another reason for erroe 452 is a mail storage issue...but these are just rare glitches...error 452 is a windows error so is naturally vague lol
