Half Life 2 Console problem
 

Hello all, I am having problems getting the console to enable on my Half Life 2 game.

Websites found on google say C:\Program Files\Half-Life 2\ is the directory but no such directory exists as such I am having major problems adding the -console to the supposed .exe which should be there and isn't.

The ones on my desktop link to Steam launch and not to the HL2 system, I enjoy console being enabled to give a selection of functions I like.

If you open HL2 and go to the "options" menu, then the "keyboard" tab, you should see an "advanced" button at the bottom.

Have a look in there ;) (there's only two settings in there, you may want them both turned on depending on your preferences)

Just to add that HL2 (and CS) are usually in c:\program files\steam\profiles\username\steamapps\<game>

Thanks all got it working now happily blasting my way through the combine.
