Advent 7055 Drivers Needed
 

Hi All.

I have an advent 7055 laptop here, with a borked recovery CD, unfortunatly you can not get the drivers off the DSG groups website.. does anyone have thyis laptop and can offer some help?? Thanks

dunno if thats anygood,there is a number to call

Could you use Everest to find out componants and then try to download individual drivers?

everest is my next point of call never used it but theres alwaya a first.. why people buy laptops without proper technical support...

:LOL: mad thing is a load of pcs out there shop bought (either desktops or laptops) come with no recovery pack at all,6 months later you call say pc is fubared and they say that'll be £50. Least there was one for the laptop in the begining.How bads the disc? could you try to chip away at it with something like clone cd see what comes off it?

hmm scared there might be a problem with getting the chipset drivers for the motherboard blookin hell.. oh well... keep on trucking

I dont actually have the disc the customer showed it to me and its in 3 pieces....

I agree run Everest and let us know the componets you see for motherboard, sound, lan sockets, usb, graphics etc all those and I am sure the guys here and myself can help you.

I managed to find all the drivers apart from the SM Bus and an unknown device, which does not appear in everest.. Its all working though, thanks for the help people

Did the motherboard get identified? The unknown device must be on the mobo so if we can get the relevant data on that we might be able to ID the unknown device.

the motherboard is made by medion, and is the mid 2020 although there are drivers for it on the website none for the SM Bus, which is actually part of the SIS Chipset used on this mobo.
