NTL analogue remotes
 

Bit of a long shot really but was hoping for a bit of help locating an NTL analogue remote control. I'm currently house sitting for some friends and have misplaced / lost (probably thrown away) the cable remote. This is most inconvenient as not only do I now have to venture off my comfy sofa to manually change channel but my friends are dues back in a week or so.

As I'm not the account holder I can't order it from NTL. I've checked ebay and all the normal places but can't find one anywhere. It's the small black controller with orange buttons.

Does anyone know anywhere I can get one?

I know my mum had a remote with orange buttons on for telewest analogue TV. When she upgraded to digital quite a few years back, they left the remotes behind, just asking her to throw them away... there may be someone who kept theirs (if NTL do the same thing!)

So if you know anyone who has upgraded recently... give them a ring :)

Welcome to the forum, if all else fails you can get a remote that you can programe to work the box :)

It's down the back of the sofa, very bottom corner underneath all the fluff.
Any money you find is mine :D

That's 99% of where they always are.

It will turn up, surely you are'nt daft enough to throw one away?

well it's looking increasingly like either me or my housemate is that daft!
guarentee if I do find one for sale somewhere, I'll find the original one immediately!

checked behind / under / in / on / sofa - found 20p. turned the place upside down!

Shame it wasn't last year, I had 3 then (we have moved house and changed to Digi) If one turns up I'll let you know (still got stuff not unpacked).:)
