Grimsby (DN32 ?) Fault
nott-grim-ubr-1-ge20.inet.ntl.com [80.4.47.226]
This UBR serving my cable line is going up and down, and has been doing for the past hour or so, making my internet connection (and probs several thousand other people) very unstable. Every minute or 2, it drops out for about 40 seconds, then comes back online. I have been constantly pinging it from an ADSL line to confirm this. I rang NTL faults, and got through to a nice chap in India who said he'd escalate it and couldn't help further. |
Re: DN32 Fault: UBR1 80.4.47.226
probably not a lot more to be done , unless of course a passing ntl member see's this of course :)
|
Re: DN32 Fault: UBR1 80.4.47.226
i'm hoping the decent top brass like BBKing or Ignition notice it and fix it :D
|
Re: DN32 Fault: UBR1 80.4.47.226
Yes something is on a bender, I was ready to punch out my router, but i guess if you are having the same problem then it survives :/. I know somebody else on the same ubr and they aren't timing out on irc. Will phone up soon myself.
Ping statistics for 62.253.162.30: Packets: Sent = 2012, Received = 1845, Lost = 167 (8% loss), edit: I'm not on the same ubr as you, mine being 10.153.175.254 |
Re: DN32 Fault: UBR1 80.4.47.226
Mine is doing the same also in grimsby, keeps cutting out then back on again,a fault on the horizon beckons i think.;)

Re: DN32 Fault: UBR1 80.4.47.226
i was bored, so i worked this out; this UBR allocates the following IP ranges, are you on it? (i may have missed some, but there seems to be a pattern - why start at 3?)

Re: DN32 Fault: UBR1 80.4.47.226
yup - I'm on one of them & am getting intermittent failure to load pages ..
|
Re: DN32 Fault: UBR1 80.4.47.226
jtwn is on grim2 ubr and simon9975 is on grim3 ubr which makes me suspect it may be more than just 1 ubr - can you post tracerts to ntlworld.com.

Re: Grimsby (DN32 ?) Fault

Re: Grimsby (DN32 ?) Fault
All 3 UBR's appear to be having small hickups

Re: Grimsby (DN32 ?) Fault
Well I would guess its a connection problem from Grimsby ubrs to nott-t2cam1-a, but I'm sure our resident ntl network techies will correct me. :)
|
Re: Grimsby (DN32 ?) Fault
But I'm on cam1-b :p:
