Zip Drives/programs

Ok just a quick question

Anyone know of any free programs for the mac that you can zip files up with and password protect the zip files? pref 8 letters plus in the password

or does anyone know of any usb pen device etc that I could use but also offers encryption, I have seen one on Dabs.com but it doesnt say much about the encryption methods so I am a little unsure about that

Thanks in advance

Re: Zip Drives/programs

I thought stuffit expander (free) was just the unzipper
Stuffit standard (not free) includes both zipper and unzipper

Where's Chris T when you want him?

Edit
You could try zippist (last entry on this page) and its freeware
http://www.eskimo.com/~pristine/compen.html

Or maybe GUI Tar from the same page

Pass, not that up to date on my Mac software and was in the middle of dinner lol
How about
http://www.haase-online.de/dirk/maczip/
or there is this
http://www.maczipit.com/
which is shareware and costs about £12 for the unlocked version that will password protect the file.
