Battlecruiser millenium 3000ad gold
 

Hello,

Been trying to make this work on my computer for over 10hours now, driving me insane.

My computer is as follows.

athlon 64 3000
512mb 400mhz ram
80gb HD
ati x700 pro (pci-e)
ac97 sound
Xp home sp2.

it will load up the splash screen then hangs on a blank window until I exit it from the task manager, I have noticed it runs its own .exe and a temp file is also running. Cancelling the temp file also closes the hanging program.

I am totally baffled as I have no other space simulator and I enjoy playing on this one.

Saw this posted in the forum for the game...

try adding the parameter -n to the shortcut, so that it shows

"C:\Program Files\DreamCatcher\3000AD\Battlecruiser Millennium Gold\bcm.exe" -n

(assuming of course that path is where you installed it ;) )

Otherwise, have you got the Indeo codec 5.11, cause apparently you need that too.

Most impressed thanks Gareth, also does anyone know of a really good space simulaton, not fighting but a simulator where you can explore and have some fun perhaps some fighting but its a choice matter and not forced onto you.

Anyone remember Zarch (on the Archimedes) / Virus (on the Amiga)? It was written by the great David Braben, who also wrote Elite.

You're too young, mate. Back in the olden days, games like Elite were the best you could hope for. I remember it always getting the highest ever score in the magazines at the time.

LOL do we have a modern day space simulator for those who are boring and would like to pilot a starship on there pc around solar systems?
