Numbers not recognised

My Daughter just phone on her mobile, her landline reporting all numbers not recognised, postcode OL8 area.

Is it just with one phone? in that case the phone could be faulty?

She gets the dialing tone, then gets "the number you have dialed has not been recognised"

Could possibly be a problem with the local mast not completing the number properly along the route. Suspect the OL8 area mast is faulty.

It's an NTL phone problem not a mobile, i said she had to phone me from her mobi because of the fault on the NTL phone.

it sounds as though the line has call barring on it, in some area this is what happens when a number from the barred range is called
