Analog TV package South Wales
 

Phoned NTL last Saturday to add Sky Sports to analog cable TV package. Nothing changed by Monday, so 4 phone calls later it was decided I needed an engineer. On Tuesday engineer sees analog box and says straight away that the Wales VT Service (?) for analog has been down for "over a week" so, apparently, nobody's package can be updated. Tonight's phone call reveals problem has been "escalated" but still no fix in sight.
Lions ko @ 8am Saturday so getting desperate now ! Anybody shed any light on this ?

Well it does make a tiny bit of sense to people who know the analogue TV systems so he wasn't just fobbing you off. It sounds like the system that updates the channel allowances has fallen over and the people who used to maintain it are probably doing other things now well away from Ntl.

Sadly if it has been down for that long I wouldn't hold your breath. They are probably sitting down scratching their heads while looking blankly at the hardware.

I just wished ntl would upgrade everyone to digital it is long overdue.
