Whats the Firefox tweak...
That changes how your page is drawn, i.e it gets drawn as it gets the info rather than waiting for the page to be downloaded completely?
The reason i ask is that i block access to ad sites using PeerGuardian2 but the browser waits and waits sometimes to pull the banners before it realises its not coming and times-out, then it displays the page. Any ideas? :dozey: |
Re: Whats the Firefox tweak...
I could do with that one too.

Re: Whats the Firefox tweak...
in about:config set this to "0"
nglayout.initialpaint.delay |
Re: Whats the Firefox tweak...
That dosent exist in my about:config.
Do you have to add it manually? |
Re: Whats the Firefox tweak...
possibly, yes
I can't remember when I added it |
Re: Whats the Firefox tweak...
it's an integer, btw...

Re: Whats the Firefox tweak...
Doesnt seem to do anything. Its in my user.js file. Is that right?
|
Re: Whats the Firefox tweak...
Nope,
In the URL: bar at the top (where you type in www.anything.com) just type about:config and hit return. |

I'm pretty sure they removed this in 1.0.2 but you can still try.

That would be why - I was using chromedit, which doesnt let you change it. Done it now. Cant realy tell if its working. Connection is a bit naf. |
Re: Whats the Firefox tweak...
Make a user.js file and settings in it are applied everytime you boot firefox. Once you've changed initialpaint it will then appear permanently in about:config
|
Re: Whats the Firefox tweak...
You have to add it yourself, just load about:config and load it from there.
And it will still make a difference even in 1.0.4 :) |
