Apache not connecting to the net ???
I have been told that I have some 'ip filtering' that is causing the problem.
My suspision is that it is my D-Link DI624+ router. As I have just installed a new computer right from bare bones, brand new, and I have the same problem. As both computers go thru the same router. I've checked on the router set up for 'virtual servers' and i still have it setup as 'Apache server - 192.168.0.101 - TCP - 80/80 - Always' Is this now correct, if not waht should it be. |
Re: Apache not connecting to the net ???
Try entering your IP in the "what's that site running?" box:
http://uptime.netcraft.com/ If it can't connect then try running on port 8080. My router uses port 80 for other stuff and it seems impossible to bypass it. |
Re: Apache not connecting to the net ???
Could not get any results for 62.255.32.12 via http://uptime.netcraft.com/
Tried changing Apache ports on the router to 8080, but it tells me that i have a Port range conflit with "Remote Managment http Server" |
Re: Apache not connecting to the net ???
Ooh, a server dude.
Firstly, back to basics. Is Apache running successfully on the internal network? Can you reach it on port 80 from another machine, in other words? |
Re: Apache not connecting to the net ???
When you say its a 'Server', its a standalone Apache server that is connected to a router. That router is also connected to 2 other computers and an xbox. I am running XP Pro.
In using http://localhost in my web browser everything is fine, Apache default screen comes up, the php info screen comes up etc etc. I can run the web browser on the internet no problem. In running Apache debug.bat it gives me an error message "Disables use of AcceptEx() Winsock API" Any ideas ?? |
Re: Apache not connecting to the net ???
As well as the "Disabled use of AcceptEx() Winsock API"
I am now getting an additional debug.bat error message "(os 10048)Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted. : make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80 no listening sockets available, shutting down Unable to open logs" Any ideas ???. |
Re: Apache not connecting to the net ???
Check your Apache .conf file.
