Skype Headphones

Anyway out there recommend some headphones to use with a a Skype VOIP phone? I'm wanting something to help reduce echo on calls to landlines, preferably something unobtrusive but echo reduction is the most important factor.

Skype recommend Plantronics gear - any users out there?

Cheers,

Andy

They may recommend anything with plantronics, but i cannot see why anything else wouldn't work with the right connector (3.5mm im guessing).

I'd recommend the Sennheiser PC150, heard good things about it for the price, and Sennheiser know what they are doing anyway when it comes to mics and headphones. Can be had at OCUK.

The PC150 is what I was going to recommend--since I have a pair of those :D
They are comfortable and very good quality :tu: :)

I just use a cheap pair of gaming headphones - in fact - these : http://shop.game.net/ViewProduct.asp...416&mid=294830

cost £5 and are working perfectly well after 6 months of abuse (plus I carry them with my laptop, so they get chucked around in the case...)

Not ignoring you chaps - and thanks for the suggestions. I'm just waiting to see if a consensus pans out given that I've got one pair costing a fiver, and one costing £40 to consider at the mo!

I also have a £10 pair from Game that were quite adequate..........

it might be worth getting USB ones, as this means you dont have to swap wires over etc to have the ampl plugged in etc..

OK, plumped for plantronics in the end. Needed phones with a mic. £20 and make a big difference on calls - and of course I'm now hands free so can type even more bilge on CF while being bored by clients!

Cheers for all your input.

Andy

PS. If anyone's thinking of going VOIP I wouldn't bother with the phone. Just buy a set of miked headphones which are cheaper and better, then download the skype software. Plantronics are giving away 120 mins of Skye landline calls with their kit at the mo too!
