Access Silde Show

Hi all

I am preparing an Access Slide show...if I have a number of items on slide.... how do I set it so each item appear when I click the mouse rather than all the items appearing when the slide first opens.

Thanks

Mike

I didn't even know you could do slide shows in Access - wouldn't Powerpoint be better?

Have you looked in Powerpoint, top menu, slide show, set up show, (towards middle right) Advance slides, select manually.

In the Advance slides box, choose one of the following two options:

Manually †” With this option, users can move through the show at their own pace by using the mouse to click action buttons. Mouse clicks are ignored unless theyââ‚ ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢re on objects youââ‚ ¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢ve created hyperlinks to; this means that you must create action buttons to let the user navigate through the presentation. The slideshow will go back to the beginning if it has been sitting idle for more than five minutes.

Using timings, if present †” With this option, the slide show will run by itself using the automatic timings set in the Slide Transition dialog box (see the Transitions lesson for more information). The slideshow will automatically go back to the beginning when it reaches the end of the slides.

Paul

What I have is six items on one slide and need each item to appear when I click the mouse.

You may need to create seperate slides for each item and then create a click action on each item in the 1st slide so that when you click a certain area on the main slide it will automatically move to the seperate slide for that item. Then add a action button to take you back to your mixed slide.

Click on "Slideshow" > "Custom Animation" in the menu bar, you can specify which elements of the page will animate (and when).

you can set this so that the elements animate when you click the mouse etc
