Device manager question
Hi all, in the last couple of days whilst playing Call of Duty my pc has been locking up, most of the time it unfreezes in a few seconds, today it has locked twice forcing a re-boot. Now when I look in the device manager under display adaptors I have 2 entries for the graphics card, they read as
RADEON 9800 PRO RADEON 9800 PRO - Secondary Is this right ?? It doesn't look it to me, but what do I know :dunce: TIA |
Re: Device manager question
Silly question, how may do you have in you system?

Re: Device manager question
Looking deeper into the device manager properties they have the same driver version but differ in memory ranges, now this is where it goes beyond me ..totally

It's to do with being able to add a second monitor to the card to stretch/clone your display. |
Re: Device manager question
Also I get a difference in the location between primary and secondary
Primary PCI bus 1, device 0, function 0 Secondary PCI bus 1, device 0, function 1 __________________ Quote:

Re: Device manager question
I have that entry too.
It is because the card can drive 2 monitors, there should be a DVI to analouge adapter with it to run a 2nd std monitor. |
