New install not working after 5 days!!!
 

Just wondering if anyone can shed alittle light on my new install problems, I had a new install done on tuesday (moved from 3 doors down) got the BB working ok, The phone is ok except they cant or wont transferthe old number over, But its the t.v driving me crazy, I have phoned every day to CS to sort it out all i have are the first 4 channels.

When i phone CS each time i have given them the Card no. and box no. Today they say the boxs arent registering, Is this correct? What is the time frame of this being fixed ive had enough of watching naff day time tv, Too make it worse i took the week off work too move house andnow have no tv too!

I hope someone can put my mind at rest that this will be fixed soon.

My BB has not worked right since the box swop and upgrade, i have to do a system restore every day to get a connection, cs says it's my PC but on the 750kbs i hads no problems!!! go figure. :(

nwc1000, do the other channels say you are not subcribed? it may well be an issue with the service orders on your account, with is basically the system the boxes go through before they appear on your account, if the channels say you are not subscribed then the box probably needs the signals refreshing but if the service orders are still not closed down this cannot be done, what area are you in? if you like i would be more than happy to take a look for you when i'm next working on monday am. ps sorry if my explanation went round the houses a bit!

Hi im in the CM23 area hertfordshire, All the channels say im not subscribed, Just so P****d off told them a month ago i was moving and still they cant make it work.

I have given them the box and card numbers at least 7 times now, im sure that they have tried just havent figured out how to do it yet.

oh well ill see what monday brings but any help is much appreciated!!

the problem is the service orders they normally close automatically but insome cases they don't the person you speak to needs to call installs and get them manually closed then the stb can be rehit and should come on, i'm not 100% sure this is your problem as i've not seen your account but 99% of the time it is! i'm not completely sure you're on the account system i use but i can take a look and if you are not i can speak to a collegue who is to try and resolve the issue for you? if you are comfortable with pm'ing me your account details i will do my best for you the mods will confirm i am an employee. if you'd rather not i understand! good luck

it seems to me that your stb is not accepting a hit !

what box do u have ?
as sometimes you can make boxes force a hit through.

And still not working however i did have 2 new boxes this morning one faulty and one not so faulty, But as yet 11 hours after the install still no programmes!!!

To be honest im losiong my patience.......The problem is a lot of the people i have dealt with have been fantastic....Shane (spelling) from installations got me another box within 10 minutes of the faulty one being found out! And also to Nemesis and shredder for helping to move this along for me!

Im sure if NTL dealt with all there customers how they have me the last 2 days they would have 101% customer satisfaction!!
