Graphics cards outputs to TV in monochrome

I'm using an S-Video to composite convertor until I can get a better lead.

Is this the reason?

yep! you can wire together the luminace and chominance pins if you want a quick solution, but it'll probably look a bit a bit crappy...

just been and fixed one of these today (good old bank holiday rates :)) he was just using a svideo to composite but his card had output to 7 pins instead of 4 ,so i made him look and low and behold he found the right lead callout + half for 10 mins work :)
