Help - moving house and now grief

Sister in law has seeked my help. She was an NTL customer - phone, BB etc, moved to another area - aldershot, also has NTL in the phone and ntl phone point.

Told NTL she was moving - fine, come moving on Friday - no joy, not able to get through to anyway - shes in a right panic. Both myself and her mum are on NTL - se seems benefical to stay with NTL.

Anyway - suggestion of if anyone can help off list - please contact me on admin edit (Russ) - email address removed, please use PM to contact this user. I ahve her new address details etc.

Cheers

Scott

It must be a Friday sort of thing.

I moved on Friday as well, although my move was 300 yards up the road, phone, tele were all disconnected very early Thursday despite the fact I was told it would be late on Thursday.

Friday arrived no engineer, an hour on the phone on Satuday and all I managed to find out was the job was complete.

Phoned the moving department this morning, and they confirm it's complete, but they need to email the dept. to find out what's gone on.

I am promised a return phone call the AM.

Well 3 phone calls and a total of 1 hour on hold and all I can find out is that my job is marked as complete. So they have to start the whole process off again, earliest they can do is Saturday morning. What fab service. Lets hope the engineer turns up. DOn't suppose they'll be anyone around on Saturday afternoon to shout at if he/she fails to arrive.

That's 8 days with no phone, tele or Internet. Was promissed a phone call from one of the supervisors, that didn't happen either.

Does anyone know the name and address of the CS manager so I can write and express my happiness with NTL and the service they offer.

Thanks I will make use of these contacts, the grief just continues, finally got my 2 phone lines on Satuday 8 days after moving, got the ordinary terestrial TV channels, but no family pack, told they would turn up after a couple of hours, still not arrived, back to CS again.

No internet at all, got a new NTL 250 modem, guy told me just to put in the installation CD and all would be OK, that was mistake number 1. Went back to a previous restore point, phoned up tech support, gave me a house move address, put in my details and it still had my old postcode, said I needed to speak to CS, did that they reset some stuff, gave me a new pin and said try again, did that no joy, back to CS, they then said I need to speak to the house move dept. again, OH and they don't work weekends.

Guess I get to spend my lunch time on the phone again.

What a great company, they really must work hard to be so professional.

Thank you for your offer of help. Finally after 10 days of effort I have everythign up and running again.

Now all I need to do is wait for the 2MB upgrade to kick in.
