Strange Booting Problem
 

Im trying to reinstall Windows XP, on booting from the CD, it goes to the "Checking System ..." White on Black Screen and then where it should normally go into the White on Blue Screen for Installation it seems to crash, the screen goes blank. Anyone any ideas? :(

does it get anywhere with the set up or take you straight elsewhere?

Have you got anything pluggd into the Mobo that might be tripping the install over? If I recall there is a programme on the CD that checks your hardware config for compatibility. I'd take it down to bog standard hardware and try again.

Ive not added/removed anything since i last installed it. The screen just goes Blank.
