Password Advice Please
 

After searching the site I guess that I can't use .htaccess on ntl's webspace, which is a bit of a shame as I want a little area of my space to be password protected.

So if that's off the list, what would you recommend as a reasonably secure alternative. I've looked at some of the Java ones but they don't seem terribly safe.

What do you use?

Unfortunately there's nothing available server side on NTL's hosting for CGI scripting et al so youre stuck with Client Side stuff like Java/Javascript unless you go buy some dedicated hosting from somewhere like www.hostforweb.com where u can get a decent hosting package from as little as £2/month which im sure you find in spare change. Im sure someone will come along and promote the offer with the host of this site has for forum members.

Thanks Zeph. I'm not looking for any external webspace (unless it's free!!) at the moment.

So what does everyone use? There seems to be a plethora of JS's available with varying degrees of security.
