When they added cameras to phones I asked 'why?' - I have to ask it again - because clearly these kids are trying to find reasons to use a camera which they have no real use for and otherwise wouldn't have with them.

they added cameras to phones because they new that there would be geeks out there that would buy them reghardless of the fact that they produce such poor pictures that they produce. Its a way of making perfectly good phones redundant by adding a new feature that people just have to have.

I had a random punch a few weeks back.

I didn't see who did it or if any pictures/videos were taken. I have to say if I had seen who did it the red mist would have come down.

Seeing most of the little ******* in Glasgow seem to carry knives or something similar its probably a good thing I didn't see them.

Hmm, anyone who tried this on me might find themselves at the local cop shop rather pronto with me pressing for charges of assault or public order offences.

the Native American concept of 'counting coup' on rivals refers, also, I think.

The difference being that 'counting coup' was a way of expressing superiority without doing harm, like tag rugby - I share the concern that a minority will escalate this to another level, unprovoked attacks, even without a robbery motive, are already common.....

I admire your forbearance, after what happened to your husband the other night, Incog, and you are right - not all teenagers are bad, by any means, but I do feel the ones who are, are getting worse...

Sure, not ALL of todays youth or taking LSD and not ALL of the youth are slap happy :rolleyes:

Errm i have a camera phone, though i dont use the camera for whats clearly being described, but i agree on the whole it is totally stupid.
