Right-Click on the little MS-Dos Icon in the top left-hand corner of the box, select Edit > Mark

Highlight (left mouse click and drag) the area you want to copy, then press Enter.

The copied text will now be on the clipboard, place the cursor in the area you want to paste it and right-click and select Paste.

A passing Mod might want to (somehow) edit the above posts so that they don't include MAC addresses and IP addresses.....

Just a thought.....

Hi Roy MM,

I'm not sure how much of a help this will be, but I've designed a small testing utility that checks a couple of key things on your computer (such as connected interfaces, local IP, dns resolution). If you would like to try it I'm happy to send it to you.

I hope we can get you sorted.

Phil.

I'll try anything now to resolve this problem.

Hey Roy,

Give me a few minutes to put things together and I'll get you an URL to download it.

Phil.

Re: No connection on boot up.

Right,

The utility is a small Java application, so you'll need the Sun Java Runtime Plugin. Unzip the archive and double click the NetCheck.jar icon.

It will test various things on your computer such as whether your network card is connected, the IP assigned, your computer's ability to connect to DNS Servers and resolve IP addresses etc.

URL: www.any-ideas.com/netcheck/netcheck.zip

Please be patient whilst it downloads. The server is only on a 256k connection.

Let me know how it goes.

Phil.
